Daniel Patino began working at a movie theater as an usher and attended
San Antonio College to study in the field of broadcasting. While
attending San Antonio College, and working full time at the theater he
had his own Mobile DJ system. In 1987 at the age of 20 Daniel became an
internship for KTFM / KTSA in San Antonio TX. Danny was employed for 6 years
with the company and moved up through the ranks and became the assistant
production director. During that time Daniel created Symmetric Sound
Productions in hopes to produce a remix service for local and national
recording artist. His job was to write, produce, and dub
commercials for both radio stations. Then Daniel was asked to remix songs from the stations play list and produce club
103 (a weekend Mix show). Daniel received recognition from a national
broadcasting company called Westwood One for his production skills. On
October of 1990 the NBA San Antonio Spurs contracted Daniel to provide
music for every home game and produce local commercials, which was a
honor for him since he was a huge spurs fan and is still today. After 3 years with the spurs Daniel was released from his contract
and also released from his job at KTFM/KTSA and had to put his dream on
hold of owning his own production studio. In March of 93 Daniel began
working for Clear Channel Radio Daniel spent 2years as a production
assistant and as a technical producer for local talk shows. There he
learned the basic of creating a talk show, which would later prove to be
beneficial. In November 1999 Daniel was given the chance to produce, and
host his own talk show on KENS AM 1160. Daniel created “Culturas” It was
San Antonio first ever-bilingual talk show, It focused on the concerns
of the Hispanic Community. The show became a hit in its time slot and
was sponsored by Latina Magazine, Café Latino, and La Prensa (San
Antonio's only bi-lingual news paper). On July 2002 Daniel was given a chance to write and produce original
music scores for the Miss Latina USA Pageant, The Miss 2003 Latina World
Pageant and again for the Miss 2004 Latina USA Pageant. After 911 Daniel
began thinking about his dream of having his own production company.
Daniel believed that God was with him all he had to do was take a leap
of faith. On February 7, 2004 Daniel open the doors to his studio,
and did it
with out the backing of any investors. Today Daniel is happy and proud
to be working with a non-profit organization called Network for Young
Artist and just by coincidence it in the same location of his recording
studio. Today Mr. Daniel has been producing local recording artist and
hopes to reach his goal in receiving a Grammy for best produce and
songwriter. Daniel is one step closer due to the fact he’s an associate
member of the Recording Academy (The Grammy’s). |
